What to bring

This is a camping self-catering event, so tents, camping equipment, food and drink are essential.  The site has flushing toilets, shower blocks with hot and cold running water and washing up sinks available.  Standpipes with drinking water are also located at various points around the site.

Please also remember to bring your kit/costume and weapons.
It is also advisable to bring a spare toilet roll and some bin bags.

Site etiquette

Wardens: The current wardens of the site are Dave and Elaine, you may see them on the way in, or during your stay. As usual please be polite and courteous.

Fires: We are allowed fires, please keep them under control, as always, safety is paramount. There are fire drums around the site, but you may place fires in the ground if you so wish, however please mark these for the safety of others.

NEW Rubbish (re-cycling/bin bags): Please ensure that you adhere to the sites new recycling policy as detailed below.

THE RUBBISH FALLS INTO 5 CATEGORIES -

1) BURNABLE RUBBISH - PLEASE BURN

2) GLASS - PLEASE PLACE ALL GLASS IN THE RECYCLING BIN AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE SITE

3) CANS - PLEASE PLACE ALL CANS IN THE RECYCLING BIN AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE SITE

4) PLASTIC - PLEASE PLACE ALL PLASTIC IN THE RECYCLING BIN AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE SITE

5) FOOD WASTE - THE NON BURNABLE FOOD WASTE SHOULD BE LEFT IN SEALED BAGS BY THE STAND PIPE OUTSIDE THE MAIN BUILDING, ANY BAGS THAT ARE NOT SEALED OR ARE SPLIT, OVERFULL OR HAVE ANY OF THE 3 RECYCLING ITEMS WITHIN, WILL BE CHARGED AT £2 PER BAG FOR THE WARDENS TO DEAL WITH THEM.

As per our last event, we will locate three re-cycling bins for re-cyclable plastics, tins and glass just inside the new tavern area to save you walking all the way to the carpark to dispose of your rubbish, so please feel free to use these, but let a crew member know if they become full, so we can empty them!
